I came back home after two weeks of workshops and lectures (mainly about maths and physics, some programming also involved) just to realize that my friend, Aneta, is having birthday party the next day. I decided that buying a present is too easy and I also wanted it to be more personal, so I made it myself. It’s a copper ring engraved with her name. I’ve just cut standard central heating copper pipe to an appropiate length, gringed sharp edges, polished it using very fine sandpaper and engraved the name using a Dremel-like tool. I like the way it came out. Aneta seemed impressed when she saw it, so I think I succeed. My mother wants one too 😉
